There are a couple of wonderful rural events coming up in Surrey over the next few weeks that we wanted to draw your attention to. They are both splendid days out suitable for people of all ages and are a real highlight of Autumn in Surrey.

 

The Surrey Game and Country Fair, Loseley Park, Guildford, GU3 1HS

rural fairs surrey autumnThe Surrey Game and Country Fair is held in the beautiful setting of Loseley Park on Sunday 23rd September. The Country Fair is a fantastic opportunity for families to experience rural life in Surrey, with plenty to keep everyone entertained.

The Fair brings together a range of rural activities – including clay shooting, gun dogs, falconry, terrier racing, hounds, sheepdogs, vintage tractors, a food hall and food theatre, tractor and horse ploughing and spectacular main ring entertainment.

Gate Opens: 9am – 5pm

Gate Prices: Adult:£11, Child, £5.50, Senior:£10, Family:£30, Children under 5 Free.

 

Surrey Hills Wood Fair, Fish Pond Copse, Bookhurst Road, Cranleigh, GU6 7DW

what to do in Surrey this Autumn fairsThe Wood Fair is full of traditional rural charm celebrating all that is ‘Good about Wood’. There is something for everyone with a strong focus on families and lots for children to do from craft making and bug hunts to animal attractions.

There will be tree climbing and zip wires, horse and wagon rides and plenty of stalls offering local produce. The Surrey and Sussex Coppice workers will be demonstrating their skills and there will be an opportunity to buy a whole host of wood crafted products.

Date: Saturday 6th October – Sunday 7th October 2018

Time: 10am – 5pm

Tickets: £7.50 in advance (advance tickets closes at 12 noon on Friday 5th October) or £10 on the gate. Free for children under 12.
