Easter already, where is this year going? I quite enjoy the Easter holidays, there is always something entertaining going on to keep the kids happy. Let’s hope the weather is kind and the kids can enjoy egg hunting without getting soaked!

Easter Cruise on the Wey & Arun Canal, Loxwood

Special themed Easter Cruises will be running on The Wey & Arun Canal on Friday 19th, Sunday 21st and Monday 22nd April. There will be Easter characters along the way to keep the kids entertained.

The boat trip is 40 minutes and departs at 11am, 12pm and 2pm. Tickets cost £10 per person. This includes a chocolate treat from the Easter bunny and a hot cross bun for the adults.

Get ready for an Easter full of discovery and delight as you search for clues around the stunning garden. Follow the trail for outdoor adventure amongst nature’s gifts and finish your hunt for treasure with a delicious Cadbury Easter treat.

The Cadbury Easter Egg Hunts will be running throughout the Easter holidays from 10:30am – 4pm and cost £3 per trail in addition to the admission charge which is Adult; £9.50 and child; £4.75.

Pick up the Lindt Gold Bunny Hunt trail map when you arrive at the palace and enjoy following the clues on the trail to find the golden bunny statues hidden around the palace and gardens, whilst discovering some of Hampton Court’s famous characters from the past. Solve the challenges to win your Lindt Gold Bunny chocolate reward!

The hunt is designed for children aged 3-12 years old and their families. Allow 1 hour 30 mins to complete it with ease. The hunt will be available daily between 6th -22nd April from 10am – 6pm. Click here for admission prices.

Living Planet Centre, Rufford House, Brewery Road, Woking, GU21 4LL

The Living Planet Centre offers a range of hands-on and engaging family workshops in their learning zone. Their urban gardens provide essential habitats for an array of wildlife, from worms, insects and spiders to bees and butterflies.

On the 11th April (drop in from 10.30am – 3pm) you can join them for an afternoon of discovery with their guest gardening expert, Ben Brace, from RHS Garden Wisley. Learn about trees, shrubs and flowering plants that will help you bring wildlife into your garden. There will also be the opportunity to take on their exciting Easter treasure trail around their woodland, wetland and garden and create decorated recycled planters to take home.

easter family activities Surrey 2019The College’s annual lambing weekend will be held on Saturday 27 April (12-4pm) and Sunday 28 April (10am-4pm). It is a celebration of nature and the countryside. You can experience lamb cuddling, visit the farm, countryside crafts, children’s activities, horse carriage rides, tree climbing, animal handling, stalls and more. Refreshments will be available and you are welcome to bring picnics.

The Saturday event is targeted more to younger children and the Sunday event is for the whole family. Tickets for Saturday MUST be pre-booked online – click here – no tickets will be sold on the day.

easter family activities Surrey 2019Easter is a very special time at Box Hill. Grab your coat and wellies and explore the top of this iconic hill on a Cadbury Easter Egg Hunt and if the weather is kind, don’t forget to take a picnic and admire the view.

Pick up a trail guide from the visitor hut (opposite the Visitor Centre). Normal car parking charges apply. Parking free for members. The hunt is available daily 6th -18th April from 10am- 3pm and costs £3 per trail.
